“Sources: The CEO of ‘Mac Optic’ is a candidate to succeed Qabeel as Minister of Industry.”

“Nasmet Bayoumi learned from Al-Mal that Dr. Ahmed Radwan, CEO of Mac Optic Investment Group and ambassador of the Egyptian-Korean Development Organization, is among the candidates to take over the Ministry of Trade and Industry, succeeding Engineer Tarek Qabeel.

Sources told Al-Mal that Dr. Mostafa Madbouly has given the candidates a 48-hour deadline, which ends this evening, to inform him of their final decisions regarding the new ministerial positions.

It is noteworthy that ‘Mac Optic’ is a Greek company established in 1995, operating in several countries including Cyprus, Bulgaria, Canada, and Iraq. The company’s key areas of activity include cement production, food supply, medical supplies, refining, and other economic activities, with aims to enhance its investments by entering the local energy sector.

In addition to Radwan, Engineer Amr Nassar, the current Secretary-General of the Engineering Industries Export Council, has also been mentioned as a candidate to take over the Ministry of Trade and Industry.”
